A Fox Named Juniper Becomes Best Friends With A Pooch Named Moose

Juniper, who also has the nickname "The Happiest Fox," is one of the topmost animals with a massive following on Instagram. The fox has recently befriended a dog named Moose. It's often been asked, "can dogs and foxes breed?"

A dog and a fox are sitting next to each other in a field.

Juniper is a red fox that is native to North America. Unlike normal red foxes, Juniper was born in captivity and was saved from a fur farm. Foxes that have to be brought up in an environment other than their natural habitat cannot be released into the wild because such animals are not trained to survive there.

The upbringing of this type of fox is completely different than their wild counterparts.

Once the foxes get accustomed to humans, they can be trained to become exceptional pets. You might be a bit surprised to know that domesticated and tamed foxes are just as affectionate and loyal as canines.

When Jessica Coker met Juniper for the first time, she immediately fell in love with her chirpy personality and took her home.

Jessica already owned several rescue pooches, and one of them named Moose instantly befriended the fox.

Juniper and Moose immediately became inseparable best buddies.

It seems like a situation of two opposite poles attracting each other. The mellow dog and the energetic young fox developed a very close friendship, which is not commonly seen between foxes and dogs. Jessica often sees them wrestling and snuggling, and she cannot help but notice how happy Juniper is with her canine friend.

When you look at the photo of the two animals, you immediately feel the strong bond that they have with each other.

There is no denying that their friendship is indeed unique. But it's probably not realistic to ask "can dogs and foxes breed?"

After reading this story, if you are thinking about knowing how to get a pet fox for yourself, then you should know that not all foxes make great pets. Also, only domesticated foxes raised at government-approved facilities can be adopted, and picking a random fox from the wild and bringing it home is dangerous and illegal.
