Dog Couple Rescued And Found Out To Be Expecting Their First Set Of Puppies

Two stray dogs named Baekgu and Heukgu have been roaming the streets for quite a while. These two are believed to be a couple.

These two dogs got the attention of Animal Welfare since Baekgu got caught in a snare. Baekgu happened to free herself from it, but it continued to hang from her neck.

The snare has caused friction in the dog’s neck that it was causing her injury and pain. The two dogs needed to be rescued to Baekgu’s neck can be treated.

The rescue team prepared to capture the two dogs. They set up a trap that caught Heukgu. Unfortunately, it missed Baekgu. The team knew that Baekgu would be very cautious of her surroundings from that day on.

The rescue team set up another trap where they used Heukgu as bait. This did not work either, as Baekgu was always on guard. She knew that people were trying to catch her.

The team would have to catch her using a different technique. When they finally caught Baekgu, she was immediately brought to the vet.

Fortunately, the snare did not cut Baekgu’s neck too deeply. The x-ray shows that someone tried to remove the loop from Baekgu’s neck. Everyone assumed that it was Heukgu.

Heukgu might have attempted to remove it multiple times but failed. Thankfully, the attempts did not cause too much damage to Baekgu.

Their First Set Of Puppies

Heukgu’s help was not the only thing that the doctor discovered. The doctor also found out something interesting. He discovered that Baekgu was pregnant.

This means that more than two lives were saved that day. Baekgu and Heukgu were going to have a family, and their first set of puppies were not going to live on the streets.

The Baekgu is not free from pain. 

She from the pain caused by the snare and free from the pain caused by an uncertain future. The family is now safe, and have a chance at a forever home.
